Njarakkal, a seaside village on Vyppin Island, not far from the city of Ernakulam, has a low-cost place to relax during the holiday season. Njarakkal is famous as the Matsyafed Aqua Tourism Center. The aqua tourism project implemented on Matsyafed's farm is nearly 50 acres.
The entrance fee is Rs.200. If you buy a ticket and go inside, you can stay at the farm until 6 pm. For a Rs 200 ticket, you can enjoy a welcome drink, lunch, ice cream, and boating. You can catch fish with bait. All you have to do is spend Rs 30 for the bait. You can snag as many fish as you want. The staffers are ever ready to prepare it without any charges. Tourists have to cross a small suspension bridge to enter the farm. Those who are not interested in fishing can have a cool stroll along the banks of the lake through the coconut groves. When the smell of coveted fish curry and fried food comes, it's time to have lunch. After tasting oyster shellfish, shrimp fry, and carp, it can be a nocturnal sleeper resting on a swing.
When the sun goes down, you can go boating and have tea and come back to see the setting sun on the nearby Malipuram beach. A scenic spot is a great place to spend the holidays with your kids. Turn right from North Paravur and proceed a little to the right from Njarakkal town through Cherai Edavanakkad to reach the Matsyafed Aqua Tourism Center. Njarakkal beach is 200 meters away from this place. Matsyafed Aqua Tourism Center is about 12 km from the Ernakulam High Court.
